The Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join a high-growth, PE-backed technology group. Reporting to the Management Accountant, the successful candidate will support financial operations across various functions while advancing their professional studies.

Key Responsibilities

Accounts Payable

  • Code and process purchase invoices after departmental approval
  • Reconcile the purchase ledger monthly
  • Manage supplier payments and follow up on outstanding invoices

Accounts Receivable

  • Generate and process sales invoices
  • Assist with credit control and account reconciliations
  • Allocate receipts and update work-in-progress schedules

Bank Reconciliations

  • Post all bank transactions and reconcile sterling and foreign currency accounts
  • Ensure month-end reconciliations are reviewed and signed off

Payroll

  • Process payroll accurately based on approved timesheets
  • Address payroll issues and follow up on outstanding queries

Candidate Requirements

  • Strong academic background with excellent attention to detail
  • Experience in a similar role within a fast-paced environment
  • Highly motivated with a problem-solving mindset
  • Proficiency in Excel and accounting software (Xero experience is a plus)
